Are you the kind of person who avoids confrontation? At Aop, these are the kinds of conversations we love having with you. It’s good to spend a few seconds keeping it real even when things get uncomfortable.  That’s one of the reasons why we built Aop.  We've created a place where people are coming together, one vote at a time to see how our opinions connect to build our lives, our experiences and our culture.

As we’ve examined thousands of opinions shared by family, friends, and fellow citizens of the USA, we're able to see clearly how even our contrasting points of view are beautiful.  The data is proof that the often reported divisions are not as wide as we believed and this tension could make us stronger than we ever imagined, if we’re all willing to do our part.

A wise rat named Splinter once said to his oldest Ninja Turtle son, Leonardo, that when it comes to unity and strength for the team, “You shouldn’t want them all to think the same, it’s their different points of view that make the team strong.  A good leader understands this. A good brother accepts it.”*

So would you say that you’re the kind of person who avoids confrontation or can you appreciate the beauty that's born of diversity?  Do you realize the importance of every opinion you hold and preference you have?

Without your opinion, we have an incomplete picture of humanity and your value to our story is immeasurable. So don’t hold back, join the conversation today with Aop and Vote Happy!

Blue Pill or Red Pill

"You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes." - Morpheus

In 1999, the Matrix was a big deal to me and just about every other Sci-Fi fan on planet earth.  The mass appeal was amplified by the fact that you couldn't watch it without spending some time afterwards wondering was 'reality' actually is.

I thought about this recently as I reviewed data from our brand new invention called Aop -  Anonymous Opinions.  We created this app to bring people of every demographic together in a brand new way.  A way that allows you to wield a couple of SuperPowers that every human being possesses:  The Freedom of Opinion and The Power to Choose.

Why do you do what you do? And why do you make the choices you make?  Because you have an opinion.  It’s your opinions and preferences that determine everything you do, everything you say and who you spend your time with.  It’s your opinions that lead to your behaviors which shape your reality.

Every second of your waking hours, you are incrementally expressing who you are by what you choose.  And this is a good thing! In fact, it’s a great thing, because the more you understand the power of the choices you make, the more freedom you have.

At Aop, we have a unique vantage point, we get to see thousands of opinions on hundreds of topics all at once. The insights we’re gathering have given us a new appreciation for relationships, for culture, and for life. It’s fun to see what trends are coming and going and it’s encouraging to have proof that across demographics, we have more commonalities than  differences.  It’s inspiring to learn about the noble things that make us the United States of America.

What we’ve discovered has convinced us that every time you use Aop, you will have fun and gain new insights about your nation, your culture, your relationships, and yourself.  Try it today and let us know if you agree, because the truth is, your opinion means everything to you.

It’s your opinions and your views that create your world. So welcome to reality!  Choose well and remember, Vote Happy and have a wonderful day!

Relationship Building & Boredom Busting

Anonymous Opinions - The Opinion Platform of the Future!

One of the best things I've learned since Aop launched is that people love using the app with others.  We hear so much about how technology increases feelings of isolation, and social media is often accused of being a source of despondency for many.  But based on user feedback, Aop is actually causing many people to feel more connected and they're having fun in situations where boredom or that awkward silence are threatening to take over.

I think of how hard we laughed in one situation when an uncomfortable silence threatened our fun during a summer get-together.  This one guy, David found this question in Aop:

He read the question out loud and his friend Brian answered immediately, "Definitely Star Wars!"

"No way dude!" David replied, "I know you! You'd probably be some kind of scavenger and starve to death in that world, you need to be in Game of Thrones!"

Brian shot back, "What! No way! You know I don't like running around naked!"   We laughed so hard and I was delighted to see how an app could inspire such unexpected, fun and creative conversations.

In the bestselling book, "The Small Big - Small Changes That Spark Big Influence"  researchers share how evidence proves that, 'The longer we know someone, the less likely it is that we will be able to accurately predict their preferences.'  This is because in relationships, we quickly begin to take each other for granted based on what we think we know.  For many people, Aop has become a fun way to connect and learn new things about your friends and family, and about yourself.

It's also a super fun boredom buster.  The time flies with Aop when you're waiting for your table or food at a restaurant, waiting to board your flight, or when you just need to calm down before a root canal.

I hope you'll try it yourself. Let us know what you think and remember, Vote Happy!
